MEET THE CAST

ASHLEY DEPASCALE

(Willow)

Ashley is back on the Cabaret stage, fresh off DCT’s run of Santa Story, where she’s been performing since 2008 both in the Theatre for Young Audiences and Main Stage. She made her directorial debut last season in Rapunzel. Some of her favorite past productions include Little Witches, Sherlock, Robin Hood, The Christmas Elf, Little Red Riding Hoods, Princess and the Pea, James & the Giant Peach, Princess and the Frog, The Man in Black, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Ashley holds a BFA in Drama from the University of Connecticut where she appeared in several Connecticut Repertory Theatre Productions. Additionally, Ashley has performed for Hershey Entertainment as well as a number of local commercials. Huge thanks to her amazing family, Hugh, Phill, Susan, the cabaret staff and actors for their constant love and support. And a special shout-out to her nephew Dylan for being a the best scene partner to practice lines with.

KAREN HANLEY

(Mama Duck/Pepper)

You’ve seen Karen on the DCT stage in Hairspray, James and the Giant Peach, Princess and the Frog, Little Witches, Joseph, and Three Pigs, among others.  Although fairly new to musical theater, she’s performed on all kinds of stages, including CBGB’s, the All-Ireland Irish Dance Championships, and had the honor of singing an original song at Jazz at Lincoln Center.  She is also in the Amazon Prime show Puzzled. Many thanks to the cast, crew & DCT!

STEVE BELLI

(Tex/Orville)

Steve is over the moon to be back on stage for another TYA production at the Cabaret. Recent credits include DCT’s productions of RENT (Ensemble) and Beauty And The Beast (Beast). He would like to thank the entire cast and creative team of The Ugly Duckling for all of their hard work, and for creating such a wonderful production. Also, HUGE shoutout to our amazing director/playwright Andrea for being so incredibly encouraging and giving us the freedom to have fun and play, and for writing such a beautiful and heartwarming show. Lots of love to my family and friends too!

HEATHER ABRADO

(Stella/Dottie)

Heather Abrado is soo sooo excited to be back on the stage at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre to be performing in her first EVER Theatre for Young Audiences Production of The Ugly Duckling. She has spent a great deal of time doing theater, but has since been participating more in commercial work and voiceover but is elated to be back on stage! She wishes her fellow cast mates and production team all the best wishes and would like to thank everyone for welcoming me into the family! Break legs everyone!
