BOX OFFICE MANAGER

Immediate Opening for a full-time Box Office Manager.  Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport, CT, a professional non-profit organization is seeking an individual with at least five years box office management experience and proven leadership skills to oversee the day to day operations of the ticketing department. The Box Office Manager will ensure a hospitable, smooth and efficient operation. Responsibilities include building out 270+ performances per season in the ShoWare ticketing system, monitoring box office and web sales, the utilization of dynamic pricing and other advanced marketing features, patron account management, tracking daily deposits, analyzing sales trends and providing feedback to the Executive Producer as well as the direct supervision of box office personnel. This role is highly visible and interacts with subscribers, members, and patrons and must lead by example at all times and provide the highest level of customer service to all clients. Must be available to work evenings and weekends.  Salary commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for health benefits. LIGHTING DESIGNER

Downtown Cabaret Theatre a professional non-profit theatre in Bridgeport CT is seeking Lighting Designers for our 2019/20 season. Designs for 10 productions a year (5 Children’s Theatre and 5 Main Stage productions). Candidate must have at least a college degree in theatrical lighting design with minimum 2 of years professional or equivalent educational experience. Designers will be mostly confined to the extensive rep light plot made up of a combination of LED, moving lights and conventional gear. Designers will also program their own show. Experience on GrandMA .2 lighting console a must. The cueing process if often less than ideal, i.e. not dark and quiet while writing cues. Pay rates $1,000 per Children’s Theatre production and $1,250 per Main Stage production.  Email cover letter and resume to Phill Hill at Phill@mycabaret.org. VOLUNTEER USHERS

The Downtown Cabaret Theatre is always looking for enthusiastic, customer service-oriented individuals to become volunteer ushers.  Our volunteer ushers provide invaluable services by assisting patrons to their seats, answering questions, and most importantly, creating a pleasant and welcoming environment for our patrons. As a volunteer, you will have an opportunity to meet many new and exciting people as well as having the opportunity to see quality performances.  Some of the requirements for becoming a volunteer usher are:

• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• The willingness to work as a team and a dedication to patron service.
• The ability to climb stairs and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be 16 years old
• Must wear and provide your own white shirt, black slacks and solid black flat shoes, no open front or back.
