Come and join us on GIVING DAY, March 1st, from 5-7pm for an Open House!
In true Cabaret fashion, we’ll be hosting a BYOB Happy Hour! We’ll provide live entertainment from some of our amazing singers, and from 6:30-7pm, you’ll even get a sneak peek inside of rehearsals for our upcoming production of Jesus Christ Superstar! We will have Donation Stations on site to make giving your donation easy.

What is Giving Day?
Giving Day is a 24 hour (12:00am-11:59pm on March 1, 2018) “Give where you live” fundraising competition hosted by Fairfield County’s Community Foundation. Giving Day inspires and empowers our region to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofit organizations in just 24 hours through online donations. Last year Bridgeport had 53 nonprofits participating (the second highest amount!) in Giving Day! Prize money will be made available to amplify charitable donations, excite nonprofits and donors to participate, and keep the momentum going throughout the day. Whether you give $10 or $1,000, your donation will make a difference!
Why is the Downtown Cabaret Theatre participating?
Currently, 85% of the Downtown Cabaret Theatre’s operating costs are covered by ticket sales alone. Generally, that figure is just 55% for most non-profit theaters. Proceeds from Giving Day will help to ensure that we can continue to provide the professional-quality production values to which our audiences have become accustomed, and also ensure that our ticket prices remain affordable, especially for the community’s students and seniors.
How do I Donate?
Donations are only eligible when received during the 24-hour donation period (12:00am-11:59pm on March 1, 2018) through the FCgives.org website. We know how busy life can get, so we wanted to make sure we gave our donors a number of ways donate.
- ONLINE: Visit our donor page on March 1st during the 24-hour donation period.
- PLEDGE: Fill out a pledge form and mail it back or drop it off at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre. You can also request that we mail you a pledge form by clicking here.
- OVER THE PHONE: Our phone lines will be open from 10:00am – 5:00pm (203) 576 – 1636
- IN PERSON: Stop by DCT on Giving Day, and take part in our Open House from 5pm – 7pm! Laptops will be available for you to submit your donation. 263 Golden Hill St. Bridgeport, CT 06604
