The production continues the 40th Anniversary season of the Downtown Cabaret Theatre organization, led by Executive Producer Hugh Hallinan.

Based on the 1925 novel written by F. Scott Fitzgerald and adapted for the stage by Simon Levy, THE GREAT GATSBY follows a cast of characters living in Long Island in the summer of 1922. The story primarily concerns the young and mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and his quixotic passion and obsession for the beautiful former debutante Daisy Buchanan. Considered to be Fitzgerald’s masterpiece, THE GREAT GATSBY creates a portrait of the Roaring Twenties and one man’s pursuit of the American Dream.

The cast includes Chris Kozlowski as Jay Gatsby, Eric Regan as Nick Carraway, Chelsea Dacey as Daisy Buchanan, Stanley Geter as Tom Buchanan, Kristin Gagliardi as Jordan Baker, Lisa DeAngelis as Myrtle Wilson, Kevin McNair as George Wilson, T. Sean Maher as Meyer Wolfsheim, Lindsay Johnson as Lucille McKee, Travis James as Chester McKee, Kitty Robertson as Mrs. Michaelis, Qesar Veliu as the Policeman, and an ensemble that includes Audrey Burns, Lucas Cafaro, Jessica D’Amato, Juliet Dale, Hyten Davidson, Shalina Grenardo, Emma LaPlace, April Lichtman, Jessica Mount, Jason Parry, and Cynthia Rivera.

The production will feature Direction by Julie Bell Petrak, Original Music by Christopher Cavaliere, Choreography for the dance party sequences by Josh Cardozo, Costume Design by Jessica Camarero, Lighting Design by Phill Hill, and Sound Design by Chris Gensur. Sarah Iannarone serves as resident Production Stage Manager for DCT Main Stage Theatre.
