December 4-20, 2015

Saturdays @ 5pm & 8:15pm

The production continues the 40th Anniversary season of the Downtown Cabaret Theatre organization, led by Executive Producer Hugh Hallinan.

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is a musical about Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his attempts to maintain his Jewish religious and cultural traditions, as outside influences encroach upon the family’s lives. He must cope with the strong-willed actions of his three older daughters, who wish to marry for love, as each one’s choice of a husband moves further away from the customs of his faith. The musical was nominated for ten Tony Awards, winning nine, including Best Musical, score, book, direction and choreography. It spawned four Broadway revivals and a highly successful 1971 film adaptation, and the show has enjoyed enduring international popularity.

The cast of 40+ local performers is led by Lou Ursone* as Tevye and Karen Hanley as Golde, and includes: Bill Adams, Avery Bebon, Zoe Bebon, Steve Benko, Audrey Burns, Lucas Cafaro, Tim Cronin, Abby Sara Dahan, Ainsley Dahlstrom, Lisa Dahlstrom, Juliet Dale, Jonathan David, Sara Detrik, Nicholas Ferreira, Andrea Garmun, Larry Greeley, Bobby Henry, Angela Jackson, Brianna Joy Jackson, Steven Kaplan, Alitha Krolikowski, Marnie Kruse, Maggie Kruse, Michael Major, Charlotte Masi, Patrick McMenamey, Kalle Meehan, Cassidy Meehan, Nicole Monahan, Eric Regan, Claire Regan, Kitty Robertson, Alex Rosenberg, Kellen Schult, Sydney Sirkin, Timothy Sullivan, Qesar Veliu, Ava Vercellone, and Bill Warncke.   (*Actor appears courtesy of Actors’ Equity Association)
