The Downtown Cabaret Theatre in association with Connecticut Comedy for Cash Presents The Funny Friday Fundraiser! There will be raffles prior to the show & a live auction after the show, free parking and this event will still feature the Cabaret’s traditional BYOB policy! Dracula and his spooky friends are putting on a show! It’s opening night, and the curtain is almost up. But wait, someone’s gone missing! Help Dracula figure out the mystery before showtime in this TYA whodunnit. This original, interactive, choose your own ending musical is fun for the whole family! Every show is also complete with a costume contest, so bring your whole family and get dressed up. Can you help solve the mystery and save the show? Because in this case, the audience solves the crime!

In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O’Brien). The story, told entirely through song, explores the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers and the Roman Empire. Originally released as a concept album, the show opened on Broadway in 1971 at the Mark Hellinger Theatre. The original London production ran for over eight years. By the time it closed, after 3,358 performances, it had become the longest-running musical in West End history at that time.
