MEET THE CAST

 

CASSIE CARROLL

(Rapunzel)

Cassie Carroll is thrilled to be back on stage with DCT TYA! Cassie last performed on this stage as Mrs. Potiphar in Joseph…Dreamcoat, and recently choreographed this season’s Christmas show, The Santa Story. She has performed in many shows at the Cabaret including Little Red Riding Hoods, Goldilocks, Little Witches, and Snow White to name a few and has choreographed several others. She would like to thank the entire cast and crew for the experience as well as the audience who continue to support live theatre. She considers this group of artists some of the best people she has ever met. Love to her fiancé, Rob, the Rapunzel team, and her family!

 

CORINNE MARSHALL

(Esmerelda)

Corinne is back for another children’s show at the Cabaret. Some of her past credits with the CCT include, The Santa Story (Jackie Frost) Little Witches (Malice), Rumpelstiltskin (Queen Avarice), Princess and the Frog (Queen Desiree), Sleeping Beauty (Sorsha), Goldilocks (Mama Bear), Pinocchio (The Blue Fairy), Cinderella (Cinderella), James and the Giant Peach (Aunt Sponge), A Christmas Carol (Ghost of Christmas Present). ROBERT PETERPAUL

(Artie)

Robert Peterpaul is an actor, writer and host of The Art of Kindness podcast. He’s thrilled to be back at DCT with this incredible team, particularly Rapunzel herself – his fiancée Cassie! Recent theatre: Newsies at Westport Country Playhouse, Beauty & the Beast at WPPAC, Spelling Bee at ACT of CT, and Decades in Concert here at DCT in addition to various TYA shows. ANDREA PANE

(Flynn Ryder)

Andrea Pane is thrilled to be taking a sharp turn into the pompous and ridiculous with Flynn! He graduated with a BFA in Acting from the University of Connecticut, completed a directing internship at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, and has studied Commedia Dell’Arte with Antonio Fava in Italy. He’s been acting and directing with DCT since 2008: credits include The Santa Story, Little Mermaid, Sherlock Holmes, Princess and the Frog, Little Witches, Dracula, The Christmas Elf, Goldilocks, Sleeping Beauty and more. In 2020 he directed and starred in MST Joseph… DreamCoat, as well as Three Pigs. Thanks to Sarah, his family, Sasha & Misha, Luan, Ashley, Phill, and to the Hallinans for their unwavering support!

 

JASON PARRY

(Hamish)

Jason is a local CT actor with a BA in Theatre. A regular at DCT, you might remember him as Prince Caspian (Little Mermaid)  Rudolph (Rudolph), or maybe as Jethro in The Princess and the Frog! Other notable roles include Tick in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Emcee in Cabaret (CCP), and Mozart/Flower Painter in Still Life With Iris (Long Wharf) and dancer credits in Jazz at Lincoln Center (NYC). When not “breaking a leg” on stage, Jason is busy mending them as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant.

 

 

KAREN HANLEY

(Haggis)

You’ve seen Karen on the DCT stage in Hairspray, James and the Giant Peach, Princess and the Frog, Little Witches, Joseph, and Three Pigs, among others. Although fairly new to musical theatre, she’s performed on all kinds of stages, including CBGB’s, the All-Ireland Irish Dance Championships, and had the honor of singing an original song at Jazz at Lincoln Center.  She is also in the Amazon Prime show Puzzled. CAROLYN SAVOIA

(Euclid)

Carolyn Savoia is thrilled to be back at the Downtown Cabaret where she was last seen as Snow White in Snow White! She is a proud Wagner College graduate with a BA in Theatre Performance and a Minor in Dance. Other credits include Jekyll & Hyde (Music Theatre of Connecticut), West Side Story and South Pacific in concert (Norwalk Symphony Orchestra/New Paradigm Theatre), The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Footloose (New Paradigm Theatre), Joseph…Dreamcoat (ACT of CT), Hairspray, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid (Summer Theatre of New Canaan). ASHLEY DEPASCALE

(Argyle/Rapunzel Understudy)

Ashley is thrilled to be back on the Cabaret stage where she has been performing since 2008 both in the Theatre for Young Audiences and the Main Stage. Some of her favorite past productions include Sleeping Beauty, The Christmas Elf, Little Red Riding Hoods, Princess and the Pea, James & the Giant Peach, Princess and the Frog, The Man in Black, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat among others. Ashley holds a BFA in drama from the University of Connecticut where she appeared in several Connecticut Repertory Theatre Productions. Additionally, Ashley has performed for Hershey Entertainment as well as a number of local commercials. Special thanks to her family, Hugh, Susan, the cabaret staff and actors for their constant love and support.

 

CARLY JURMAN

(Esmerelda Understudy)

Past credits include The Santa Story (DCT), Something Rotten (Curtain Call), The Donkey Show (American Repertory Theatre), West Side Story, The Who’s Tommy, Thoroughly Modern Millie (Turtle Lane Playhouse), and South Pacific (Reagle Music Theatre). Carly recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and was nominated in 2019 for an Off-West End Award for her solo show,Unlovable. She has trained and performed internationally in theatre, dance and physical performance.
