Celtic Thunder’s Paul Byrom
Celtic Thunder’s Paul Byrom

Paul Byrom is often hailed as one of Ireland’s premier tenors. The Dublin-born tenor began voice training when he was just seven years old. His talent as a tenor has taken him far and wide, and some of the many highlights of his career to date include performing for many dignitaries such as Irish President Mary McAleese, Emperor Akihito of Japan, and most recently for United States President, Barack Obama.

In 2007 Paul became one of the original soloists in the show Celtic Thunder.
Fans quickly nicknamed him “The Swanky Tenor” for his suave and romantic style in performing, which is stamped on such numbers as “Remember Me, Recuerde Me” and “She”.

He has since left the production and his latest album “This Is The Moment” debuted at No.1 on the World Billboard Charts. This was followed by his first solo tour of North America. It’s safe to say, Paul has gone from strength to strength and as such has been named Irish Tenor of the Year 2012 by the Irish Music Association.

Lord of the Flies
Lord of the Flies

Nigel Williams’ stage adaptation of the classic novel by William Golding follows a group of English school boys stranded on a desert island after a plane crash during wartime. As they slowly explore their newfound freedom, what starts out as fun and games turns into a vicious battle for power when the boys split into two opposing tribes: one that strives for civility and another that delights in savage violence. The competition escalates into a dangerous, frightening climax, as this thrilling classic looks into the darker parts of human nature where it’s civilization vs. savagery and the mob vs. morality.

A Few Good Men
A Few Good Men

This acclaimed play by Aaron Sorkin was first produced on Broadway and subsequently made into a successful film in 1992 starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, and Demi Moore. It tells the story of military lawyers at a court-martial who uncover a high-level conspiracy when a rookie Navy lawyer is assigned to defend two Marines on trial for the murder of one of their platoon members. He expects a plea-bargain, and a cover-up of what really happened. But, prodded by a female member of his defense team, the lawyer eventually makes a valiant effort to defend his clients and, in doing so, the play raises the questions of what it means to have honor, dignity and humanity in an increasingly complex world. Age advisory: 13+ (some strong language).
